We provide an accurate and reliable chip timing service at an affordable price, especially for clubs & charity events. We cater for all races, road, trail or hill.

How it All Works
Chip timing is now a well proven and reliable service. The chips can be either one-use items placed on the back of the bib or laced on the shoes. Or alternatively reusable chips can be used.
Reusable are generally ankle tags or laced on the shoes, these are recovered from the runner at
the finish funnel.

The one-use chip has some big advantages

• It can be posted out to the athletes without the worry of retrieving the chip if the athlete does not run. No stress for volunteers at registration.
• It does not need to be collected at the finish, reducing the stress for volunteers.

Reusable chips are

• Useful for smaller races, where collection after the race is not a problem.
• For example triathlons and duathlons

      Live Tracking
Runners can be tracked on the course via
their mobile phones using GPS. This is
particularly useful for hill or trail running
to ensure everyone stays on the course.
RD’s can watch the runners live on a link to their laptop at race HQ.
For races not requiring tracking, organisers can have the sweeper tracked to see where the last runner is.
Families & friends can also watch the runner progress via an app.

Results
Results are produced to match your specified prize list categories, team categories or other requests as you require. Providing we know what you require in advance we can deliver quickly and accurately. Manual and video back up is part of the service so no-one will get missed. We can provide you with the video file after the event.
We provide you with the top male and female finishers results as soon as they finish (however many required), category results as soon as the positions are filled.

Live Web Results
Full results are uploaded to our results pages at no extra cost, to see an example of the pages, click here. If we have a mobile network connection we can upload them as they are created, otherwise as soon as is possible. We can provide a QR link to the results prior to the race, results appear on our results site as soon as we send them. Excel spreadsheets can be downloaded from the website for organisers after the event. Results Email will be sent out to runners after results have been finalised

Race Day Planning
What we need to know

• The layout of the race, are start and finish in the same place, if not how far apart, is the race multi lap etc.
• If power is available it is not essential as we can bring a generator & we also have battery power packs
• The age categories you are using. We can deal with any categories you wish to use.
• What type of chips, if one-use ,these can be processed and delivered to you any time before the race. Or posted out to the athletes 2 weeks before the event.
• We can order bib numbers for you & have them delivered either to us or yourself.
• Athlete information on a spreadsheet as soon as possible after online entries close

Race Day

We will normally aim to arrive at the venue two hours before race start time. We will set up the finish area first, and our timing equipment. Once this is complete we will go to your race registration to deal with any race day amendments.
Runners can be added at any point, even after they have finished, the advantage of a chip timing system is that the system stores times associated with the running number regardless of whether there is a name attached.
If the race start is at a different location to the finish, we will set this up and test all equipment before start time moving back to the finish once the runners have departed. Any further day entries or amendments can be added at any point.

As Standard 

• We have the start list online for you to check & download to use as a registration sheet
• Email sent to runners informing them of their time & position after results are finalised
• Overall & Age categories printed out for prize giving.
• QR code at registration allowing runners to check their bib# if required’
